| Sashimi Me The Money After about an hour on the river, Christine catches a 38lb Salmon. Most people in the Gorge fish all season and never get one this size, if one at all. And the most interesting part about this, is this is a Chinook Salmon, from our backyard in the Columbia River Gorge. About 27 years ago, Chileans brought Chinook down to Fish Farm. The Chinook they brought didn't grow fast enough so they tossed them in the Ocean. But they did just fine and now there is a nice population of Chinook from the Gorge waters.  | |
